Provide any room with atmospheric lighting – with new ceiling light fixtures.
It is best to fit light fixtures to the ceiling with fixings and screw hooks. Important: Ceilings are often made of hard concrete, so you should use a rotary hammer. Also ensure that you have a firm stance when drilling and wear protective goggles to prevent getting dust in your eyes.
Important: Before drilling, switch off the fuse and ensure that no cables or pipes run through the drilling position (using a metal detector).
Now you can drill. Make sure that you drill the correct hole diameter for the fixings.
Insert the fixings, knock them in with a hammer, turn in the screw hooks and fit the light fixture.
Connecting the light fixture: Use a voltage tester to check whether the cable is voltage-free. The individual wires in the electric cable (normally two or three) are different colours. The black (sometimes brown) wire is labelled with an "L". This is the outer conductor, which feeds the current from the mains to the lamp. The blue wire is the neutral conductor "N"; it feeds the current from the lamp back to the mains. The green-yellow wire (not necessarily present) is the protective earth conductor "PE". Now connect the wires to the terminal: black to black and blue to blue. If there is no PE terminal point for the green-yellow protective earth conductor, position it so that it does not make contact with the terminal. Finally, check that the wires are firmly fixed in the terminal.
Function test: When you switch the fuse back on, the fixture should light up.
